President’s Message
Greetings members and guests my name is Aaron Peterman and I am the current USPCA Region 1 President. I welcome you to our website and hope that you find it informative and relevant to your needs. I have been in law enforcement for nearly 20 years and have worked in many high liability areas. In my unrelenting desire to pursue those that prey on our citizenry I stumbled upon K-9. As we all know a K-9 team is a force multiplier and when used properly is a formidable tool in locating and apprehending criminals, their evidence, and their contraband. Let us not forget the many other applications either, such as the location of missing and endangered persons.
There is a great burden that comes with using a K-9 as a force option; hence my passion to serve as the President of an organization such as the USPCA. Our ultimate goal is the certification of K-9 teams and second to that is the continued and further training of teams to meet and/or exceed industry standards. The USPCA is the most recognized and tenured organization of its kind in the country. Our standards are defensible and have held up in court. I can attest to this as I have endured a federal Civil Rights lawsuit and came out the other side victorious. My USPCA certifications and accomplishments undoubtedly aided me and my agency tremendously.
